Street Performers in Guanajuato - Trailing Rachel
Guanajuato was filled with street performers, especially in the evenings due to Festival Internacional Cervantino… or maybe they’re just always around to pick up a few pesos from willing, camera-happy tourists. I just had to post a few final photos from this amazing city before I move on to our adventures on the west coast beaches of Mexico… because these just don’t belong anywhere else. Aside from the mimes and Shakespearean actors that I assume were out for Cervantino, there were army men to pose with… And miners (not to be confused with minors) promoting Guanajuato’s Mummy Museum. What do you mean you don’t want to take a picture inside an open casket? Of course, there’s also an endless supply of mariachi bands, from solo artists to huge groups like these. If you’ve got the money, they’ve got the time. Don’t worry, they’ll supply the jams even when you can’t think of your favorite Mexican tune. And after a couple of cocktails, you may even want to pose with this Transformer so you can show all your fraternity bros back home how cool you are.
